The lumber used to produce their products are selectively harvested from managed forests, where trees are cut to make room for more trees to grow.
The arrow in the logo is remeniscent of the mark made by colonial foresters carved into New England in the best trees selected for use as ship masts for the Kings Royal Navy. J.K. Adams uses the same mark to indicate their use of the best wood from New England for their products.
